I'm catching up on some blog reading, and ran across this photo on Cake Wrecks.

The post said that this was supposed to be a wedding-cake take on a "croquembouche."  She then goes on to posit whether "croquembouche" might be French for "albino booby tower."

And then of course, I thought of Seth saying, "albino booby tower," and I laughed.

My my my how your post made me laugh.

I think it was because you're the only person I know who on occasion refers to his chest as "boobies," and I can always picture you saying the word "boobies" with an extra long oooo.

...and then looking very pleased with yourself. :)

I think it's because of an early Homer Simpson-ism, laying on the couch and dreaming:

"Beeeeeer. Piiiiizzaaaaa. Boooooobieeeeeeeees."

Have you ever seen the old Martha Stewart where she had Julia Child as a guest? They made croquembouche; actually, they each made their own. Martha's was PERFECT and Julia's was... a little crooked. Julia's unapologetic comment was, "My croquembouche is the country version!"

I LOVED that show! It was a Christmas special right when Martha was at the height of her powers. At the end Martha cuddles up to Julia and crinkles her nose and says something about how wonderful it had been to have such a legend on her show or something, and Julia says - dripping with sarcasm, I might add - "Yes, we ARE lovely people, aren't we."
